Conservation of Turtles in Eastern Ontario

Why? To enhance partnerships in turtle conservation.

What? Learn about the current status and conservation needs of turtles in
Eastern Ontario. Learn about current turtle conservation/rehabilitation
projects. Help identify what threats aren?t being adequately addressed.
Generate ideas for strengthening existing projects or creating new ones.
Find out how your organization can participate in conserving turtles in
Eastern Ontario. Refreshments and are lunch provided.

DIRECTIONS:
From Ottawa, the trip is about 45 minutes. Take Hwy 416 south to County Road
43. Drive west on 43 until you get to Merrickville. Sam Jakes Inn is located
on 43 next to the Royal Bank and across from the Rideau Canal.

From the 401, take exit #705. Drive north on County Road 15 to Merrickville
(approx 25 mins) to Merrickville. At the flashing light, turn right and the
inn is on the right-hand side.

When? 9am ? 5pm, Friday, 26 March, 2004

Cost $25 by February 27, $35 late registrations. Additional donations
gratefully accepted, charitable receipt available if over $10.
