There's a huge difference. ST actually has an interesting neutral game and
the characters have tools that work. If you land in a position where you
can force 50-50's it's because you earned it (Vega notwithstanding). You
didn't do one or two moves over and over in the hope that they would
eventually work.

The games got closer towards the end because after a while I just let go
of the controller every time I got hit by a jump in or drop kick. It leads
to wall carry and brainless 50-50s that aren't any fun or interesting to
play against, and it's really frustrating to have to play that solid just
to avoid getting tagged by 2 moves.

Sali knew to counter with ex AA.
So I decided to play more loose and random, didn't work well, but I did
notice the games became closer coz even if I get punished then next time he
will expect random and be blocking more often then I got a throw in here
and there.
Once I tighten up the randomness I was forcing him to guess more often
and then I got more wins.
R mika is all about getting the opponent in that uncomfortable position.
