It took me a awhile to save up for the house, partly because I was lazy :p

I can roughly make between 1-1.5 million gil a day (if I really wanted to)
I only really started taking the "gil making" seriously this passed month
(it took me a little under 3 weeks to make all that gil about 4-5 days a
week. It did depend on the market board and those prices are subject to
fluctuation- sometimes I would make over 2 million but it was roughly 1.2
million a day on average.

Thanks Alasdair :) some of the new outfits look really awesome. I was
trolling with my chocobo outfit next to the market board :p That
purple/black outfit is actually for summoners and black mages - I just
think it looks amazing!! (the new item level 120 healer gear also looks
amazing - albeit a bit futuristic) You can glamour stuff now, so the silver
outfit is glamoured (the metallic silver dye is actually extremely rare,
only your retainer can get it and it cannot be sold or traded. You can send
your retainers out on ventures now, not sure if you still played when that
was implemented).

The Shards FC is dead, its like everyone decided not to play at the same
time :) Chojin and myself joined another FC - they are active and extremely
helpful :) I must be honest that a large percentage of the player base did
fall away, but it helped tremendously with some things - like the market
board plateauing. With the advent of 2.4 (everyone is playing ninja) a huge
influx of players came back - you can see it just by the market board
undercuts.

I think there is still a a number of new players joining the game (they
actually have a little "sprout" icon next to the name, so you can see they
are new :)

It would be nice to get a small local community going, especially for
raids/ end game content. I know Chojin mains a tank and I still main a
healer. I think Darkwolf and SinisterX might come back, so we might have a
few people to run dungeons with - the FC people are really friendly and
help a lot too (usually we have between 30-40 people online in the evenings
during the week out of 176)

Alasdair, if you are really interested in coming back you should definitely
check out some info on the first true expansion "heavensward" the Dark
Knight is being introduced (tank class) and uses two handed sword as well
as magick (darkness skills).
