Mmmm….
When holding in mind the % of the the population who could have voted
but did not, the huge dilution of votes shared with over 80
presidential candidates (members of numerous political parties without
any clear program), the effect of the huge support for his election by
the former president (who’s key interest was in protecting his own
interests and come back in the next election) you might call it
overwhelming - by numbers may be? - , but it does not sound so to me.
Unfortunately no democraty in Haiti on the way, just a role-model
theatre from “friendly neighbours” hoping the boats of refugees will
stay away somewhat longer….
