I had Visio 3 'back in the day' ('96, '97). Lost it though :( You
wouldn't believe how much fun I had with Visio Home.

If you find one I'd like to hear about it. I have version 2 or 3 here somewhere but it really didn't amount to much then. It has come a long ways and now owned by Microsoft so I doubt if you'll find a frrbie.
The file format for Visio files is .vss
