I don't recall what the problem was Joe (you can relate to that, right!!) .
The only problem I have now is (cheap) disks. From now on I think I will stick
to one brand (memorex dvd-r) and avoid compatibility problems.

Did you get your DVD drive problem solved ?
I read something when I installed mine about it locked to a certain region
when you inserted the first disk. It also said something about it could only be
changed 5 times ???
That's not your problem is it ?
