You can use Group Policy to block the use of Windows Update / Updates. Create the policy that you want, save it out, and push it to every workstation http://grouppolicy.editme.com/ -------- Peter _____ From: computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ray Roney Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2007 11:13 PM To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [CTS] Automated Swtiches I'm trying to write a cmd file or bat file to do some Automated Switching of things. Things like wuaucpl.cpl (what switch turns-off auto updates?) I can hit ALT+T to "Turn off Automatic Updates" but would rather have it scripted. Also MS Notifications in Security Center and Java Updates. I thought there *should* be some...but have yet to find a complete list. Most lists have wuacucpl.cpl as the Control Panel Applet...but when you're talking 15-20 workstations in an office, i'd like to automate the rollout. Thanks.... -- Ray -- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
