GENERAL FUNCTION:
Performs maintenance on existing software products. Assists in designing,
developing, coding, testing and debugging new software or making enhancements
to existing software.
The position is on the Technical/Professional ladder at level 2 in the Systems
Programming discipline. This is a 2nd shift position in Grand Rapids, MI.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage WebSphere installations, modifications, performance management and
configuration.
Experience installing, administering, and monitoring tasks related to the
support of WebSphere Application Server (WAS) version 5.1 or greater and its
associated components, including IBM HTTP server (Apache).
Manage Java system interfaces, including JDBC, MQ, WebSphere database
communications and system integration.
Ability to perform problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
Install, test and apply all pertinent IBM maintenance patches, fixes and
upgrades.
Work with IBM Customer Support to troubleshoot and resolve all problems and
issues
Support user requests, deployments, troubleshooting.
Provide support for application software installations and upgrades
Responsible for working with client to review and refine existing
administrative standards and procedures, as well as developing new procedures,
including system documentation, procedures and job processes.
Other duties as required.

Job Requirements
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent, with 1-3 years of experience.
ITM/ITCAM, MQ, or WebMethods Administration (a plus)
