It looks like I had the similar experience. If I had experience with DOS this
may have been easier to navigate. I also agree with the amount of people still
using it.

c.. tell us what happened, and mention at least one thing that you learned
about telnet as you tried using it. I tired to use it I could not get it to
work at first. Then I just remembered working with text based programs In DOS
and it got a little easier. What I learned is that Telnet is not dead there are
still many people still out there using it today
