The issue I decided to focus on is the "digital devide" and how the Gates
Foundation is trying to give lower income people access to the internet via
their public libraries. In October 2005, Detroit recieved money to buy
computers for their patrons.
This program is wonderful way to help lower income people have access to the
Internet. This program also helps libraries by allowing them to use their
already tight budgets on other issues of importance, such as buying books and
software for the patrons.
