Guys,
Here is the scoop on the Hamilton County Fair....First off there is a cool
website that I have included at the bottom of the page if you are interested
in more info. The basic info is a follows....
Wed, Thurs., Fri (August 1-3) from 11:00AM - 2:00 PM everyone is admitted
to the fairgrounds for free. (children under 2 are free any time) You can
stay as long as you like, however, there are no re-entry passes.
Parking on the fairgrounds cost $3. (Enter off of Anthony Wayne) I am not
sure where to park other than the fairgrounds, although I am sure there are
free spaces within walking distance.
Plenty of stuff to see and do (the usual animals, kids petting zoo, etc.)
The rides cost extra and run from 1:00PM-5:00 PM and 6:00PM -11:00PM. There
is a $5 fee per person for an all day ride pass.
I guess Friday is the best day for us to go as a group, if anyone is
interested. We will plan to meet at 12:00 PM. I will send out a specific
meeting location later in the
week. I have included directions below. Call or e-mail me for more specifics
(731-3667) Also, if you get a chance, let me know that you are planning to
come so that I can be looking for you on Friday.
DIRECTIONS:
From I-75 South…
Take I-75 South to the Paddock Road Exit (Exit 9). Turn right off the exit,
and follow Paddock to its intersection with Vine Street. Go straight on Vine
Street to the Fairgrounds, which will be on your right.
From I-75 North…
Take I-75 North to the Paddock Road Exit (Exit 9). Turn left off the exit,
and follow Paddock to its intersection with Vine Street. Go straight on Vine
Street to the Fairgrounds, which will be on your right.
