To my fellow BVI pilot friends.
Like the subject states, I might finnaly have the VA Pannel worked out.
I need a couple of more trys to make sure it wasn't a fluke and work each time I go to fly vor IYP though.
Here's what I did.
1. Fire up FSX like normal and load a aircraft out on the runway like normal. You'll know that the aircraft is out on the runway if you can hear the engines running.
2. Go and now fire up IYP like normal.
3. once you hear IYP talking and it is your plane statement has completed, cancil the flight that was out on the runway. You should now no longer hear the engines of that plane that once was out on the runway.
4.Now tell your first officer to go to the VA pannel by the voice comand
open v a pannel.
Select your flight and click on the availabe button.
When and when you are told to do so close out the va pannel and li Michelle do herthing and you should be hearing that we're loading our flight plan and there you should have your IYP VA flight ready to start to use the command do all checklists to start everything running.
I love the new voice command get top of climb altitude.
I had one problem.
I reported it to Robert, but would like so feedback here as well.
I was landing at Chicago for runway 4 l VFR.
I started my descent on time and correctly.
I followed all of the ATC and Michelle's instructions.
but for some reason I did not get the chance to use the command Recognize approach clearance nor the contact tower nor the recognize landing clearance.
But thanks to Michelle I was able to safely land the plane.
No I got the normal message that Michelle makes after touchdown about the welcome message and we'll be exiting the runway shoryly speech. But I never received from the ATC a frequency to switch to so that I could taxi to.
Now I wonder what happened.
Many Thanks.
Ron who just might finaly figured out how to use the IYP VA pannel just yet.
