Hello Stealth, This is Adam S.I saw the trouble you are having, and I thought I would try and help. When you want to taxi to a particular runway, say to Michelle, "Michelle, let's taxi to and hold short of runway 2 6 left, right", etc. If you say to taxi to runway 26, then it comes out as twenty-six. This sounds wrong to Michelle. If the runway exists in your database, then she will do it for you.
Important:You need to do all of the checklists from the preflight to shutdown for your flight to work propperly. And you want to make sure that the flight is made up of the three components that make sense: the flight plan, ending in .pln, and the flight file, ending in .flt, along with setting up the weather. Extensive detail on how to do this is in the Flight Deck Doc. It is on the website under user manuals. Let's say I am doing a flight from Los Angeles to San Fransisco. I run through all of the lists. So, I'll address your problem, here. We're in the Cesna 172. I made it to the runway, per the instructions I stated earlier. I have been given clearance. I then say to Michelle, "Takeoff and climbout checklist". If she asks if you would like her to assist you, then let her do so. She will call out the speeds for you and lift the plane off. After you are up, tell her to "make the airspeed, 105", or whatever you wish. Then say, "Autopilot on". This should take care of the problem you are having with climbing and descending. Stealth, I know this was a lengthy explanation, but I am a teacher by trade, and I have learned over the years of flying with IYP that if anything is missing, your flight won't be a good one. I am going on a flight with the aircraft you are having trouble with, and practice myself. Try my suggestions, and I'll also write back and let you know how I did. If that channel is open, I'll be glad to talk with you in person voice to voice.
Have a good flight! Best regards, Adam----- Original Message ----- From: "Adam " <brailledog@xxxxxxx>

Oddly enough, it only seems to be a problem with the Cessna aircraft because the King Air and Baron 58 do not have that issue. Frustrating because I have a few flights where I use the 172 and the 208 and I currently cannot use either one of those aircraft. Let's say that I am doing one of the quick flights for example I am flying out ofKSEA Using the Cessna 172 I am having trouble in these areas! First of all it seems I am having trouble to get the aircraft to taxi correctly. Secondly when in the air and I want to set my altitude to 3,500 feet I say climb and maintain 3,500 Michelle confirms it but when the aircraft climbs it don't stop it just keeps climbing. What am I doing wrong? Also if I tell Michell to descend and maintain 2,200 it also just keeps climbing! Even if I say set the rate of (Climb or descent) to 500 or whatever and I ask Michell to verify it always tells me the vertical speed is something other than what I am asking her to do!My assumption here is that even though Michel is confirming and recognizingmy commands it's not applying them! However everything else is working fine! Up to this point! Thanks for any help or suggestions! Stealth Have a Good day!
