This morning at Stuart's Pond I saw a strange looking
goose. I came back home and looked in our field guides
and determined it was an Egyptian Goose. I have been
stopping by the pond regularly and this is the first
time I have seen this goose.
According to the field guides this species is African
and has been introduced for zoos or private
collections. According to Sibley's there is a small
feral population in southern California.
