There is an active Red-shouldered Hawk nest in a sycamore tree on the Kingsport Greenbelt behind the Boys and Girls Club. This is behind Rush Steet and Pratt's BBQ restaurants at the intersection of Pinebrook Dr. and E. Stone Drive. Red-shouldered Hawks nested in the same location last year. I observed one hawk on the nest moving around as if incubating eggs.
