Gilbert Derouen, Reece Jamerson and Bryan Stevens birded in western
Washington County, TN, on Feb. 1. Territory included the communities of
Limestone,
Telford and Philadelphia.
We enjoyed a great day for raptors. In addition to the famous "white"
Red-tailed Hawk, we saw 8 other Red-tailed Hawks, 9 American Kestrels, 2
Northern
Harriers (male and female, along Keebler Road) and Turkey Vultures.

On a pond on Corby Bridge Road, we had five Redheads (a drake and four hens).

Other good birds included Eastern Meadowlarks and Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.

Bryan Stevens,
Hampton, TN
