Geri Wynn did a wonderful presentation for the EBC. It included an adult
Red-tailed Hawk, a red morph Eastern Screech-Owl, a Groundhog and a Oppossum.
The club is taking up a collection for a donation to be sent to her. Anyone
wishing to send a donation directly can send it to
Wynn-Wood Wildlife Rehab
150 Cecil Estep Rd.
Elizabethton, TN 37643
(423) 474-6220

She takes care of hundreds of sick and injured wild animals every year and is
dependant on donations.

The EBC is planning a field trip, including a visit to Geri's facility, on
Saturday, February 19. We will meet at the N.E. State Elizabethton campus
parking lot at 1 PM. We will bird our way from there to Shady Valley. We will
stop for dinner at The Cranberry Cafe in Shady Valley before going to Orchard
Bog for some twilight birding and hopefully seeing and hearing American
Woodcocks.

The Bristol Bird Club is making plans for a Shady Valley field trip that same
day. It should be a lot of fun.

Don Holt will meet anyone wanting to meet at the north Johnson City K-Mart on
State of Franklin at 6:15 AM, Saturday, February 12 to join the Bristol Bird
Club on their Burke's Garden field trip.

Plans are being made for a March field trip in western Washington County, TN
including a visit to Pat and Pat Stern's property where Eurasion Collared Dove
was seen in 2004.

The Spring count is scheduled for April 30.

Plans are being made for our Spring Banquet.

Janet Brown and Larry McDaniel will be hosting a Mardi Gras Party on Saturday,
February 5 at 7 PM.

All are welcome to all events. Call or e-mail me if you have questions.
