Laverne and I were walking our dog in the woods behind our house yesterday when we heard an unfamiliar vireo. We kept hearing it but were never able to get a look. I thought I knew what it was and as we listened to my iPod we were able to compare the song to the bird song guide and confirm that it was a Philadelphia Vireo. This morning while walking the dog we heard our FOS Wood Thrush. We have been eagerly awaiting it's return as a sign that spring is actually here.
