[Bristol-Birds] Northern Bobwhite

On Friday, April 18, about 1:15 PM as I was making the first round with
our lawn mower, I observed a male Northern Bobwhite in the adjoining
plowed space in front of our house. I stopped and got a good look
at him at close range. He remained very still hoping I did not see
him. Of course, he was gone when I made another round. We have not
heard one on the farm since we moved here in 2000. I hope they are
coming back.
