[Bristol-Birds] Gull Feeding Posture

I have noticed that gulls enjoy feeding on land with wings raised as well.
My guess is this is a posture that allows a fast get away while in a
venerable head down position while taking food. With one down stroke of those
wings a
gull can move several feet instantaneously.
