I had two Bufflehead drakes at the pond at Erwin Fishery Park on Tuesday, Feb.
18. These were the first Buffleheads I have seen there for the winter of
2002-03.

Also present: Pair of Gadwall, a Green-winged Teal drake and several Wood Ducks
and Mallards.

The Buffleheads had moved on by Wednesday morning when I stopped by the pond on
the way to work.
