I saw the Canadas & the Snow this morning as well in the Old Mill Pond (someone should write a song) at Elk Garden. Late this afternoon (about 5:45), they were all still there. They had been joined by 3 Mallard drakes and further upstream, by about 6-8 Wood Ducks. A flock of about 15 Mallards were circling the mud hole in the field where 6 Mallards had already settled and were feeding. Last Sunday, my wife, Jane, and I saw what was perhaps the same group of Canadas with a Snow Goose at Stuart's Pond along with a pair of Ring-Necked Ducks. It was with a group of 45 Canada Geese. Later we found a Great Egret perched at the top of the dead tree beside Stuarts Pond.
