You can, on the bn itself at least. Just open the file manager menu, then hit t
for translate file, and explore those options. I'd use the "translate between
braille and text" one; when you are choosing the output filename, use space-x
(or maybe it's backspace-x) to choose the type of file you want before you
press enter.
