Yes. I've had worse experiences. I tried to delete a daisy file once, and it decided instead to delete my entire my books folder. This happened twice. I don't understand why.

If possible, don't use Daisy at all. Bookshare's Daisy files are not audio by default, they are only text, but the ones I have tried have been nothing but trouble. The Apex loses its place, is slowed down, cannot perform text searches, and will sometimes freeze up for no reason at all.

You could, possibly, open the html of the book by digging through the folder of files, but that would not save your place either. If possible, stick to BRF, at least that is my experience.

Hi all--

I contacted Bookshare today; they said they updated to a new Braille translation software, which takes the page numbers out when transcribing. They are working to resolve this and add the numbers back in soon.

Bookshare also suggested that DAISY books will allow for better navigation for now and have pages in them. I've never used DAISY on my Apex. I really don't want/need the audio; I prefer to read books in Braille. Is there a way to download a DAISY book and just get the text of a file, not the audio? (If I remember correctly from discussion on this list, when downloaded, each DAISY book is in its own folder with several files.) Maybe the audio file could be deleted?

Also, are there any specific navigation commands that are different from BRF files that I would need to know for DAISY?
Thanks for any help,
