Oh. But is there any way you can change the base on our calculator? I mean log base ten is done by just pressing l and ln by just pressing n.

Or at least our calculator can only do that. Base 10 or ln. I
know my teacher said that with the calculators most students had
you could change the base though.

I'm pretty good at doing them. I just wasn't sure what to do
when it came to solving logs with the base other than 10 since
unfortunately, calculators can only do base ten. I think that's
very odd.

Good :) I was absolutely terrible at logs last year hahaha, so
glad I never have to do them again! They are all right once you
get your head around the concepts though I guess

The formula in question islogx(y) = log10(y)/log10(x) or
ln(y)/ln(x) where x and y are constants. That essentially means
that you can always solve anything using log10 or ln. Does that
make sense?

I don't understand. How is it log4(2)?

Yes, log10(4)/log10(2) =log4(2) for example.

Hi all,

I know that on a calculator, which also includes the scientific
calculator on the bn, you can only do log base ten. Is there a
way to write other log bases on the Braillenote's scientific
calculator, such as log base 5 or log base 4?

Thank you.

Carlos
