The exception command errors simply mean that the file is corrupted or digitally misaligned so that the apex can not access it at that time. About the only thing you can try or do at that point is to reset as you stated.

Hello, Sometimes when I'm doing something on the BrailleNote and then hit a command, I get the message, "Exception: command" followed by a number and "access violation reading 0" or "data misalignment." What does this message mean and why does it come up? These messages have always annoyed me because I then have to reset the unit. Thank you.
