The bug involving turning on the BrailleNote and having it appear to be stuck in the main menu was introduced in 9.0 or 9.1. It wasn't that way when I first purchased my BN. Carlos is correct in saying that in most cases, if you turn off the BN, and then press enter when you turn it on again, it should come right up. It's as if the BN sometimes thinks it's in one-handed mode. -- Rick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carlos Lopez" <carlos.lopez.1209@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Ricardo Herrera" <deathdogg@xxxxxxxxx>; <braillenote@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, February 20, 2014 2:30 PM Subject: [BNU] Re: Another Bug I have tried this too. - Carlos Sent from my BrailleNote Apex BT 32 running KeySoft 9.4 build 1226 from the HumanWare BrailleNote family ----- Original Message ----- From: Ricardo Herrera <deathdogg@xxxxxxxxx To: braillenote@xxxxxxxxxxxxx,carlos.lopez.1209@xxxxxxxxx Date sent: Thu, 20 Feb 2014 14:21:34 -0800 Subject: Re: [BNU] Another Bug I wrote about this once on the bnu site, but it was deleted, I forgot why. Anyway, what I have found to work was to press and hold down the enter key while turning the unit on. After it turns on, you can let go. ----- Original Message ----- From: Carlos Lopez <carlos.lopez.1209@xxxxxxxxx To: BrailleNote Users Mailing List <braillenote@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Thursday, February 20, 2014 13:49 Subject: [BNU] Another Bug Hi all, I've experienced yet another bug with the bn. Sometimes, when I turn off my BrailleNote, it doesn't turn on whenever I try turning it on again. Also, when I turn it off, I've noticed that the cells of the braille display rise very slowly, much slower than they usually do when I turn it off. The only way I've been able to fix this is by pressing reset. Has anyone else experienced this?? I've experienced this countless times before, but I just experienced this again right now. - Carlos Sent from my BrailleNote Apex BT 32 running KeySoft 9.4 build 1226 from the HumanWare BrailleNote family ------------------------------- BNU: BrailleNote Users - a forum for users of BrailleNote family of products from Humanware.
