List:
please stop this thread and any others like it. We all know how harmful crash codes can be, we all know that they and other language used are inappropriate, and we all agree that these messages are disruptive, unnecessary, and frustrating. Each time such a message appears, though, the same discussions come up, adding to everyone's inboxes with off-topic posts. If you need to discuss this, email the mods, or email off-list, but this sort of thing only furthers the spammer's aim: to disrupt our lives and get us to talk about what he is doing. Additionally, he is not on this list anymore, so addressing comments to him will do absolutely no good. Even if he saw such pleas, he would not listen (believe me, the mods have tried that already). He wants to cause trouble, and simply asking him not to will do nothing to stop him.

So please, do not keep commenting on these spam messages each time they appear. It doesn't do anyone any good, and it is not on-topic. To anyone wishing to unsubscribe over this: I completely understand your decision, but fair warning: it is not just this list. I have seen, or been told about, these same spam messages, complete with bad language and crash words, being sent to lists for Sendero products, Hims notetakers, Hims DTB players, Audacity, and more. My point is that, if you leave this list over these messages, just know that this list is not the only place you will encounter them. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Hi
I agree, this is bad, very bad and the mods are doing all they can but if he wants to, he can just come back. Is there no way to trace this guy I know ip won't work because he could change it but what about dns
or mac?

And, this is the very reason I am seriously considering unsubscribing
from this list if the harmful spam continues.

I know the moderators are doing everything they can, but the crash codes made one of my Jaws computers crash once, and I can't afford to have these
sorts of problems.

The reason crash code spam is so bad and uncalled for is because not
everyone is using a Braillenote
to read the Braillenote list. People using JAWS might end up needing sighted

assistance! So some machines
are Eloquence only, and this is why crash codes are just as offensive as the

swearing.

Hi all,

Once again we have a spammer on the list. This time his name is
Bob Smith, but fortunately, Alex and Joseph were able to ban him
quickly. Still, I do not like the content of the recently sent
messages. I'm 16 years old so I can handle this kind of
language, but there are people here who are younger than me who
shouldn't be hearing it.

Anyway, since these crash codes crash Eloquence, switch to
Keynote gold and you'll be fine.
