Or, even just separate pleasure reading material which is new from the
technical material which might be the simplest. New Books used to work. It
is just that one can't find pleasure reading among all of the technical
material.

Sure, that would work but it shouldn't be that difficult; that many steps;
they can put those new books in categories instead of lumping them all
together. I have friends who won't go to the new books list just for this
reason. THey just do a search for something particular.
But you miss out on new things that way sometimes.
