Hi, Rose. I took notes using taped lectures sometimes, too, when I first started into college, but that never worked very well for me because of my hearing impairment. I had a history teacher once who agreed to keep my tape recorder up with her and that greatly improved the recording quality so that I could usually do pretty well with my notes in her class, but I wasn't so fortunate with other teachers, and having to go back and listen to the lectures again to take better notes was definitely a chore! Take care. I taped sometimes too, but I hated going back through those tapes time and time again so I developed my brain, managed to reconstruct lectures based on a key word here and there. I might manage a half a page of words note-taking and be able to nearly but not quite parrot back a lecture. I wish I'd had today's technology 30 years ago. What do those of you who became blind after being sighted do? I hope this isn't too personal a question. If so, please forgive me.
