When you open it, there should be a help file. To download from book share, flick down to add. You will have several choices. Keep flicking to bookshare. You will need to log in, user name password, that sort of thing. Hope you have a good keypad. Then you have choices, newest books, history, etc. I usually download first to stream, so am not familiar with how to get the book descriptions. I think you double tap on the title and then choose whether or not to download. If you already have it in history, just flick past the title to where it says download and double tap. When you are done, go to the top of the page and flick to done. That disconnects you from bookshare. You then have a list called folders. Flick down to the book you want and double tap or flick down twice. The first flick is delete. The second is activate. The book will come up. You then have a very busy page, but keep flicking down to play and double tap. I always flick past play to move by unit, flick down to chapter. This means heading. That way I get directly into the book and skip all that stuff at the beginning. When you have selected chapter, flick back to play, Flick down once. It will say fast forward. Double tap play, and the book will start. A double tap usually makes it stop. Restarting isn’t so easy if you have been away from the machine for a time. Usually you have to unlock it first. Press the control button once, then double tap. That usually gets it going. It’s far more complicated than stream, but the voices you can get are really good, and if you already have an iPhone and don’t want to afford a stream, it’s a great option. I usually download to stream then choose to read some, especially the English books which I want with a different voice, or if I’m tired of Heather or Ryan, I read on the iPhone. I can then delete the book when done and will have an archive copy on the stream. If I want, I can read it on the stream later, or use the information there to redownload to iPhone if I want to read it there. The help file really says this better, but hope this helps. Happy reading. Voice is a great option, not as easy to navigate as with a stream or other reader, but the additional voices are delightful. -----Original Message----- From: David Goldfield Sent: Monday, December 29, 2014 5:48 AM To: bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Voice Dream Reader on Sale For those who are interested, Voice Dream reader is on sale for a limited time for $4.99. -- David Goldfield, Assistive Technology specialist --------- Visit my Web site http://www.davidgoldfield.info Feel free to visit my LinkedIn profile http://www.linkedin.com/pub/david-goldfield/12/929/573 visit my blog http://davidgoldfield.wordpress.com Follow me on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/davidgoldfield To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank Email to bookshare-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the Subject line.
