Sometimes the other voices can be fun, though.

I don't have any experience with Read2Go and what I've learned from using Voice
Dream Reader with my iPhone 5 is that anyone trying to decide between the two
should go with Voice Dream Reader. Based on price, VDR is $9.95 versus
Read2Go's $19.95. If you do want additional VDR voices, they cost between $1.99
to $4.99 each depending on the voice. However, you don't even have to purchase
additional voices because it comes free with Heather and is also able to use
the high quality voices that are on your iDevice. I've gotten so used to my
iPhone's high quality voice using VoiceOver that I prefer using it when reading
with VDR.

I don't know what features Read2Go has but VDR will let you read Bookshare
books, pdf files, Word documents, other text formats such as txt and rtf, and
will even read mp3 audiobooks. The interface has an excellent design and it is
very easy to get text spellings as a book is being read. I don't use any of its
visual features but those with more vision than me can set font sizes to very
high levels and also adjust screen colors to tweak contrast as needed. Finally,
VDR's integration with Dropbox makes it easy to get files to be read with it
between device and computer. It's integration with Bookshare also works very
well and finding a Bookshare book on my iPhone and getting it to VDR does not
require my computer.

As others have said, VDR often goes on sale for half off to $5 around Christmas
but even at $9.95, it is an app that is well worth the cost.

Keep an eye out so to speak these next few days. Winston the dev may put it out
on sale for a bit. I think he did last year. I can’t really say when it was as
Ihad already purchased the app previously so didn’t pay too much attention to
when it occurred. Definitely worht the money. Full price or not. Read2Go if I
remember correctly is around $20.00 For that kind of money, you can get VDR and
a couple of premium voices too.

Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how one sees it, here in Mexico's
AppStore it's $139 Mexican pesos; maybe in the US it'd be around $9.50 or so?
Sometimes though it's on sale.

Barb, just a start here. Voice Dream is superior. You can buy different voices
very cheaply like for one dollar or so. Bob Acosta

OK, haven't paid a lot of attention to Read To Go and Voice Dream Reader. Is
Voice Dream Reader for the iPhone? If so, would someone please compare the 2
readers?

Thanks.

I absolutely love Voice Dream Reader.
Others have told me it's easier to use.

I'd like to use my IPhone to read Bookshare books; I'm between Voice Dream
Reader, vs Read2Go? Thanks for suggestions.
