Hi, Bertha. I use a Book Port and absolutely love it. So it will probably
surprise you when I suggest that you invest in buying a Victor Stream
instead. I have two reasons for making this suggestion. The first is that
the Book Port is nearing the end of its product cycle, meaning that
replacement parts and memory cards will become harder to obtain in the years
to come. Second, the Stream can handle NLS books while Book Port can't. I
love my Book Port and would be sad without it. I bought mine used though,
and logic tells me that if a person can buy a product in new condition, it
should be one that will be current and the most versatile. If you'd like to
talk to the people from Humanware and other Stream owners, TekTalk is
hosting a live demonstration of the Stream with its new software on Monday
night at 5 P.M. Pacific, 8 P.M. Eastern. Just go to
http://www.accessibleworld.org and click on the link for the TekTalk
conference room. This demonstration is free to everyone, and there will be a
question and answer period after the presentation. Hope this helps.
