Wow Pat, that sounded like fun. Unfortunately I had to miss it as I had a
real in-person party to attend. I'm so glad you did this though, it's fun
to have a virtual community to party with like this. Thanks Monica for
summarizing the event for us.

All the best,
Allison

Friends of Bookshare Celebrated Arrival of 2008 In All Four Time Zones

By Monica Willyard

The Friends Of Bookshare Community celebrated the beginning of 2008 with a
virtual party filled with fun and friendship. With attendees from around
the
world, partygoers cheered at midnight during each time zone. Kelly
Sapergia
played several songs on his accordian, Ken Trebelhorn and John Beaulieu
entertained the crowd with their favorite music. John Gassman stirred the
crowd to laughter with his comedy, and Monica Willyard shared the history
of
Robert Burns and the song Auld Lang Syne. Fred Bertelsen kept us laughing
by
playing Chicken Man, Dr. Science, and The Story Lady. We learned about New
Year's Eve customs and celebrations around the world. Joanie Leonard kept
the virtual buffet stocked with wonderful treats including her famous
chocolate chip cookies and a fully stocked bar and soda fountain. Flutes
of
virtual champagne were served to everyone at midnight. Laughter flowed as
challenges were celebrated and good times were remembered. Resolutions
were
made, old friends were remembered, and a good time was had by all. The
Friends Of Bookshare wish everyone a happy and fortunate 2008.
