All, I've just submitted for validation the following: Samoan village, then and now, second edition, by Lowell D. Holmes, Wichita State University, 2002, pp 175. This is a fascinating look into the changes seen in a traditional Samoan village over the past century and a half -- a very balanced view, and not as controversial as Margaret Mead's famous work. This is a good intro to Samoan culture and history, and polynesia themes in general. Brian Miller
