Yes Guys, it is true: Steven Baum said: It is a free upgrade if you
purchased the
product after October 15th, 2008 - i.e., one year before the ship date
of version 12. Otherwise it is $125 to upgrade from any version of
Kurzweil 1000 to this version.
It is also worth pointing out that in about a month or so there will be
a USB version of Kurzweil 1000. That version will also be available
either as an upgrade from an existing version or, of course, as a new
purchase.
Sucks for us who bought versions 8, 9, 10 and 11 before this date he mentioned.

while I think.
