Bookshare has done it again! Yesterday they added a great scan of The Odyssey. This morning my daughter's English teacher assigned it as reading for this semester. My daughter is sighted. Because of Bookshare, I can follow along and read the book with her, helping her with the strange names and other words. There is a lot of talk about how Bookshare helps students. So I thought I'd speak up for the parents. Bookshare helps us too by making it possible to read what our children are reading in school and by making it possible for us to discuss these books as a family. My heartfelt thanks goes out to whoever just scanned The Odyssey. You've made my job as a mom so much easier.
