[bookport] on the line of braille input

For the past few days people have been speaking their opinions of having or not
expanding the Book Port's braille input capabilities. I wont' stand up and
argue, but I'm simply saying my thoughts.
One feature I'd really like to see is to be able to push something like and O
cord, (for open),and then simply be able to type in your file name and push
enter. While I do use folders to separate my txt and brf books from audio books
which too are separated from music files, this type of feature would still save
me dozens of arrowing up and down through the folder contents.
If not an open file name, then I'd think maybe they could at least expand the
find feature so you can type in a key word of the title, and then once it has
found the file you want you can manually begin the reading with the two button
as usual.
As for having other types of braille input, or as some people are referring to
as braille memos, it sounds like they're looking for something like a
notetaker. I have mixed thoughts of this matter. Firstly, I would love to be
able to edit OCR errors that my scanner made on some documents before I had the
chance to read and send it to the Book Port. On the other hand, I don't think
the writing of braille files is not all that essential that they should invest
all their time in being able to create all new files. After all that would
probably involve consideration into helping the Book Port understand page
layout like line lengths and things, then there will be people wanting spell
checkers and all kinds of things. Eventually this will affect the Book Port's
physical capabilities and dimensions, and then you'll be lugging around
something bigger like a Braille n Speak. I personally like the size of the Book
Port the way it is, and if you want things like that, you're probably better to
use a notetaker in the first place.
Just my opinion...
