Hi,
I looked at both of these units at the summer conventions. I was told
that the Book Port had more numerous and advanced features, and that the
Book Courier was less expensive but lacked some of the features. It was
suggested that perhaps the Book Courier is slightly easier to learn and
use, etc.
I chose the Book Port namely due to it having more features and options,
and due to the Audible support.

The AccessWorld review was ok-ish, but is totally out of date for
software functionality now.
At the risk of offending someone, Even then, I didn't feel it adequately
highlighted the uniqueness's of each machine, as much as saying what was
similar.
Still, its a good starting point, and was relatively accurate at the
time of writing.
One good and accurate (but potentially biased) comparison is found in
the latest BookPort manual, under Frequently Asked Questions.

In case the link does not work, it's in the July 2004 issue of Access
World. I'm not sure about the Courier, but I'm sure the book Port has
come out with an update since then though, so you do have to consider
that when reading the article. The primary difference besides in price
as I see it, is that the Book Port supports a few more formats than does
the Courier, though that too may have changed at some point. Besides the
Courier being slightly cheaper, they also give discounts to people who
are members of Bookshare or use Kurzweil for their OCR. Book Port does
