It's almost a dead certainty that you can't do this and that you'll have to
buy a complete package. Ordinarily, the transmitter and the headphones are
matched electronically and you can't just buy one part or the other and then
mix them successfully.

Richard: are your adapter and headphones both plantronics?
I have a scala headset and am hoping that I only need to buy the plantronics
adapter, but I don't know if that will work.
