I did as selecting anything else. I laid the arrow on the item and moved
with the tabs until it said send and pressed enter.

Yes, I first plugged the USB cable into my Book Port. Yes, the transport software open automatically at that point. I was able to move with the arrows and the tab and choose the item and click send. Nothing happened.

If not, then it may not see your Book Port. If you have the transport software open and it doesn't see the bookyou should be able to find a message on the screen that says "BookPortnot connected" or something like that.
