I don't know whether we'll be able to support that format or not?
However, if we are, it won't be right away.
When the Book Port 2 first comes out, it'll probably have the same
file-support as the original--mostly, because we will have such a quick
need to get something back on the market, as our current supply dries
up.

No, it's no rumor and yes, you must have been on some other world!

We've been discussing it here and there's even been a Main Menu program
on
ACB Radio devoted to it. We know for sure that it'll be about half the
thickness of the current BP; that it'll use a rechargeable battery;
that
it'll have more built-in memory for storage of both reading materials
and
firmware; and that it'll use the smaller SecureDigital (SD) card rather
than
the current CompactFlash (CF) card. Also, we know there will not be any
kind
of trade-in program for owners of the current model. As far as any new
file
formats, I believe that it's supposed to play the new NLS digital
Talking
Books. Pamela has said that they're looking at September or thereabouts
as
the time frame for the great unveiling.
