Yes, but as reported earlier, it came to its senses after being allowed to
sit overnight with no batteries. I figure this scared it so badly that it
decided to cooperate. :-) I've been using it all day and it's performing
flawlessly. I figure these things have minds of their own, anyway, so to my
mind, fear is usually as good a method of gaining the cooperation of a
technology as is an engineering degree. <g>

did you disconnect it from your computer before replacing the compact flash
card?  I think it said some where in the manual that you should disconnect
from your pc before changing cards.
