Are people's lives so wroped up around this that they cannot function? Is this all there is to your lives? Gee. It must be truly so difficult to make a choice in this, I cannot help but wonder.
If you cannot wait a few months for a BP that will read the digital books from NLS, by all means, get the Stream and be happy now. Otherwise, just wait and be happy. Either way, some will find a way to complain. Sad.
