Hi Rob, Well, I can turn off compression when i go home, but sending chapters won't really work for what I need for work because I need to skip around in these books. that's why I bought the large flash card. I = am in the process of sending en entire RFB&D book with both features = turned on at the moment; hopefully I will have your problem. Also, does it do it if you just send a small part of the book, say, a = chapter? Rob Meredith >>> pmack1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 08/24/04 08:29AM >>> Yes, I am using both. Should I turn them off? -----Original Message----- From: ROB MEREDITH <rmeredith@xxxxxxx> Sent: Aug 24, 2004 8:25 AM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 Subject: [bookport] Re: Can't send RFB&D books BookPortto Paula: What Advanced Audio options are you using if any? For example, are you =3D compressing time or pauses? Rob Meredith >>> pmack1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 08/24/04 05:30AM >>> Hi listers, I am using the new beta software, as well as the firmware for the =3D Bookport. I am now unable to send the RFB&D books to the BookPort. I'm getting almost all the way through the process and then getting the error: "FFMP3: buffer is read only." Please someone help me figure this out. Usually I have no trouble getting things to work, but I have no idea to what this error refers. Paula
