I can't answer the question about web Braille, but no, the transfer version
and the actual BP firmware version do not have to be the same, as the
transfer software is still being updated, and the firmware is not. So, this
will not make a difference.

Folks,
My Book Port transfer software is version 2.4.1.0. The software on the book
port is 2.3.0.0. I am using Vista which has the latest updates. When I try
to move a web Braille book, I get an mfc (Microsoft Foundation Class)
failure.
Questions:
1. Should the book port software and file transfer have the same version?
2. Have others been able to transfer web Braille books using Vista?
