Basically it's marked-up text--I.E. it uses the Doubletalk speech.

I appreciate your comments. I'm not a bookshare member, but I have a
question. When you get the times, is it audio or a text file?
I haven't downloaded the bp beta, but I am encouraged by most of what I hear
