Hello Pam,

You just clarified something for me, and thank you.
I had set the unit for an half hour announcement but did a lot of
forwarding, and wondered why it did not tell me anything.
Was beginning to think the clock was not reliable.

Ann:

Once you have chosen the time you want for the Sleep Timer and exit the
setting menu, it will become activated. The catch is, however, that any key
press during that time will reset the sleep timer, even if it hasn't shut
off yet. So, if you set it for 10 minutes, and after 5 minutes, you press 1
to back up a sentence, you have re-activated the timer, even though the
10-minutes had not been reached.

Rob - I am talking about the sleep timer. I have changed the date
successfully. I also can change settings with no problem but how do you
turn the timer on when you are ready to use it? Thank you, Ann

Ann:

Which timer are you referring to? There is a clock with time/date, and there
is a sleep timer. The sleep timer defaults to 30 minutes. You can change
this from the Settings keypad, accessed by pressing 0. Press 0 again to exit
the settings list. You will also find a submenu in this list where you can
set the clock.

I am a new user and have a couple of unrelated questions. First I am trying
to figure out how the BWR works. When I type in the URL
http://www.aph.org/tech/dtb in the Path edit box and try to add the path, I
receive the following: Error! Opening Internet Session. Is there another
website with sample DTBs to try? Also, I have yet to come across the key
command for the timer on the BP. Thank you,
