I agree with Dave. If you are going to have a rechargeable battery pack, you should be able to buy a secondary inexpensive pack with a charging cradle. On long road trips, I go places where I use six batteries and would not be able to recharge. I hope you could put in a charging circuit for people who want to use rechargeable batteries, but still have the ability to turn it off and use regular aa batteries. One of the reasons I decided to buy the unit was because I could use off the shelf batteries. I am sure this will be music to the ears of the enviromentalists out there but I can think of any number of scenarios where I shall be unable to get to a point where I might charge my unit. The convenience of carrying a spare packet of new batteries far outweighs any advantage that re-chargeables have to offer in my humble opinion. But perhaps I am jumping the gun here? will the re-chargeable batteries be the kind that are available from any high street electrical shop, or will they be the dedicated kind only buyable from a certifyed Book Courier dealer? All the best as ever. Dave
