Allan
Many thanks for responding. Were they the original type 4 pot calipers or were
they the modern ones?

<tjsconsultants@xxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:tjsconsultants@xxxxxxxxxxx>>:
In the never ending search for a new brake caliper to replace the original 4
pot Airhearts which will still fit within the Bobsy wheel rim on the SR2, has
anyone tried a modern Airheart 175X2QC11?
It appears to have similar dimensions and specification to the original,
although Airhearts say it is now for an 11.4 ins rotor diameter. This rotor is
too big for the Bobsy rim but I wonder if the (unavoidable) overlap of the pad
on a smaller rotor (say 10 ins) would make a material difference?
I cannot get one this side of the pond to try them for size as no one sells
them in Europe.
Wilwoods would have been a much easier solution but the historic racing
authorities in Europe are reluctant to accept them.
